Dreaming of Becoming a Nurse, Jharkhand Teen Gets a Fresh Start After Alakh Pandey Sponsors Her Education

A heartfelt video of Alakh Pandey, Founder and CEO of PhysicsWallah (PW), popularly known as Alakh sir, helping a young girl from Jharkhand resume her education is winning hearts online. In Laxmipur village, Jharkhand, to launch a digital library for students in the region, Alakh Sir met 14-year-old Sonali Thudu, a student from a tribal community in a nearby village. Forced to put her education on hold due to financial constraints, she spoke about her aspiration to become a nurse and her wish to study at St. Mary School, a residential school in Tisri, Giridih district. The young student spoke about the hardships her family faced after her father met with an accident and lost his housekeeping job in Hyderabad. Since then, her mother travels 10 km every day to take care of animals on a local farm to earn a meagre living. Moved by her determination and the hopes of her family, Alakh Sir accompanied Sonali and her parents to the school and facilitated her admission.
He has sponsored Sonali's tuition and hostel fees for Classes 9 and 10, along with additional financial assistance to support her educational needs. Alakh Sir also gifted her a new school uniform and personally walked her to her classroom, introducing her to her teachers and classmates as she began a new chapter in her academic journey.
