Arihant Kavya Nisha Poets’ Meet Fills Udaipur with Laughter, Making the Winter Chill Barely Felt

Udaipur:A grand poets’ conference titled “Arihant Kavya Nisha”, dedicated to literature, culture, and society, was organised by Arihant Mitra Mandal, Sector-3. Renowned poets from across the country and the state mesmerised the audience with powerful, humorous, emotional, and patriotic compositions, creating an atmosphere filled with joy, reflection, and thunderous applause.

The programme began with a traditional mangalacharan and lamp lighting, accompanied by a graceful dance performance by Renu Sinyal, Pista Chordia, Manju Singhvi, Kiran Mehta, and Nidhi Dak. This was followed by a melodious welcome song presented by Kusum Ostwal and Neelima Talesara, which set a vibrant literary and cultural tone for the evening. The dignitaries on the dais were felicitated by Arihant Committee members with shawls, turbans, and mementoes.

In his welcome address, Mandal President Hemant Sinyal said that the objective of Arihant Mitra Mandal is to promote literature, culture, and values in society, and that such creative and cultural programmes will continue to be organised in the future.

The successful organisation of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Mandal’s office-bearers, members, and volunteers. Special contributions were made by Programme Convenor Lalit Lodha, Anil Singhvi, Co-Convenors Renu Sinyal, Kusum Ostwal, and Manju Singhvi. Patron support from Prakash Jhagrawat, Rajesh Bhanawat, Lalit Kothari, General Secretary Jayprakash Babel, Treasurer Ramesh Ostwal, Organisation Secretary Prakash Seth, Bhopal Singh Chavhan, and Kamal Galundia was also acknowledged. Programme Convenor Lalit Lodha shared details of the event and expressed gratitude to all.

The poets’ meet featured compositions based on humour, heroism (Veer Ras), romance (Shringar Ras), patriotism, and social issues. The audience remained engaged throughout, responding with continuous applause and laughter, keeping the programme lively late into the night.

Prominent poets from different regions of the country included renowned humour poet Arun Gemini, Dinesh Desi Ghee, Hemant Pandey, Kanu Pandit, Veer Ras poet Vineet Chauhan, Shringar Ras poetesses Padmini Sharma and Radhika Mittal, and nationally acclaimed poet Rao Ajat Shatru. Many eminent citizens, social representatives, and Mandal members were also present.

Humour poet Arun Gemini received loud applause for his satirical poem highlighting the loss of values in modern times, with lines such as “Paropkari bande aur arthi ko kandhe, dhoondhte reh jaoge…”, drawing repeated laughter and claps from the audience.

Veer Ras poet Vineet Chauhan electrified the gathering with his powerful poem on national pride and the armed forces, earning prolonged applause. Padmini Sharma’s Shringar Ras composition on Indian culture and moral values was warmly appreciated by listeners.

Poet Hemant Pandey from Kanpur tickled the audience with a humorous take on Valentine’s Day, while Radhika Mittal captivated hearts with her emotional poetry on relationships and separation.

National poet Rao Ajat Shatru stirred emotions with his impactful poem on the Aravalli mountain range, blending history, bravery, and environmental concern. His verses received resounding applause and admiration. Kanu Pandit’s heartfelt poem on family responsibilities and respect for parents also resonated deeply with the audience.

Humour poet Dinesh Desi Ghee from Shajapur (Madhya Pradesh) inspired patriotism with his spirited composition celebrating India’s global stature, drawing enthusiastic applause.

The programme was brilliantly anchored by Rao Ajat Shatru, whose sharp political satire and engaging style kept the audience entertained throughout the evening.

At the conclusion of the event, General Secretary Jayprakash Babel expressed heartfelt gratitude to all poets, guests, audience members, and the organising committee for making the event a grand success.
