Media Accreditation Opens for Unstoppable Africa 2026 by the Global Africa Business Initiative

The Global Africa Business Initiative (GABI) (https://GABI.UNGlobalCompact.org)  is now accepting applications for media accreditation to cover Unstoppable Africa 2026, taking place on 20–21 September 2026 at the Marriott Marquis in New York on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). This year's event will bring together more than 3,000 Heads of State and Government, CEOs, investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, creatives and sports leaders to advance conversations around Africa's economic transformation, investment opportunities and global competitiveness under the theme "Unstoppable Africa: Powering Business, Scaling Economies, Shaping the Future. 


Applications are now open for working media credentials. All journalists wishing to cover the event must complete the online accreditation process. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

 

Who Should Apply: Applications are welcomed from international, regional and local media organisations across print, online, broadcast, photography and multimedia platforms. Each journalist intending to cover Unstoppable Africa 2026 must submit an individual application. 

Media Accreditation Process: The accreditation process consists of two stages: 

Stage 1 – Submit an Application: Complete the online Media Accreditation Form HERE (https://apo-opa.co/4ywQ0Tu). Applicants requiring a U.S. visa support letter should indicate this in the application form. 

Stage 2 – Accreditation Confirmation: Approved applicants will receive a confirmation email on the outcome of their application. Media representatives requiring a U.S. visa support letter will receive a separate form when approved to provide the additional information needed for their invitation letter. 

Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee accreditation. 

Credential Collection: Official Unstoppable Africa media credentials will be issued by APO Group in New York. Detailed credential collection information will be shared with approved media by 16 September 2026. Approved applicants will be required to present a valid government-issued photo identification when collecting their accreditation badge onsite.
