Mumbai: The ‘Shatak’ Flag Yatra, organized to promote the film “Shatak: 100 Years of the Sangh,” based on the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has successfully completed its first phase from Srinagar to Punjab. The yatra brought together people in Srinagar, Jammu, and Ludhiana, strengthening the spirit of unity and national pride.
The journey began at the iconic Lal Chowk in Srinagar, where the saffron flag was hoisted with pride. The atmosphere resonated with chants of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” creating a strong sense of patriotism. A large number of citizens participated, making it a powerful symbol of collective unity.
In Jammu, the Shatak Flag Yatra received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the public. The event carried forward the ideals of service, discipline, and unity inspired by RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and Guruji M.S. Golwalkar.
The first phase of the yatra concluded in Ludhiana, where the city echoed with the beats of traditional drums and saw massive public participation. A rally of 100 bikes, symbolizing 100 years of the RSS, filled the city with excitement and pride. A felicitation ceremony was also organized to honor volunteers dedicated to selfless service to society.
On the occasion, RSS worker and producer Veer Kapoor said, “Launching the Shatak Flag Yatra from Lal Chowk, where the saffron flag was hoisted and chants of ‘Vande Mataram’ echoed, was a deeply emotional and proud moment for me. Through Shatak: The Film and this yatra, we are celebrating 100 years of service and the unity that binds our nation together.”
Produced by Veer Kapoor in collaboration with Panorama Studios, co-produced by Ashish Tiwari, and directed by Ashish Mall, “Shatak: 100 Years of the Sangh” is scheduled to release in cinemas on February 19, 2026.
