Mumbai:By the infinite grace of Lord Shri Swaminarayan and the sacred blessings of the Acharya tradition, the historic Shri Lakshminarayan Temple, Madhavbagh (C.P. Tank) witnessed a grand, well-organised, and spiritually uplifting celebration of Divya Shakotsav on Sunday, January 4, 2026. The auspicious festival was held in a deeply devotional and joyous atmosphere under the divine presence of P.P. Dharmdhurandhar 1008 Acharya Maharaj Shri Kaushalendraprasad Ji and revered saints.
The sacred event was organised by Dharmakul–Ashrit Shri Swaminarayan Satsang Mandal (Wali, Rajasthan – presently Mumbai) and stood as a shining example of spiritual awakening, unity among devotees, and selfless service.
Saints and sadhus from various parts of the country graced the occasion, during which religious rituals, discourses, bhajan-kirtans, and satsang programmes were conducted. Thousands of devotees, including men, women, and children, attended the event, seeking divine darshan and blessings. Sevabhavi volunteers and distinguished guests who contributed to the successful organisation were felicitated with garlands as a mark of respect.
Following the Divya Shakotsav, all devotees partook in pure vegetarian prasadam, experiencing spiritual joy and devotion that filled the entire temple premises with an atmosphere of love, faith, and harmony.
The Chief Guest of the event was Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, who addressed the gathering and said,
"You have not come here merely for food; you have come with a deeper hunger—for values, philosophy, blessings, and divine wisdom. This is why such a large number of devotees have gathered here today."
He emphasised the importance of spiritual gatherings in strengthening moral and cultural values in society and praised the organisers and volunteers for their dedication. On the same occasion, Congress candidate Prithviraj Jain also paid his respects and received blessings.
Addressing the devotees, P.P. Acharya Maharaj Shri Kaushalendraprasad Ji, the seventh successor in the lineage of Narnarayan Dev, highlighted the significance of devotion and satsang in human life. He stated that obedience to parents and surrender to Lord Shri Swaminarayan guide individuals toward a righteous and meaningful life. He extended heartfelt wishes for the progress and well-being of all devotees and invited them to attend the Soumya Mahotsav to be held in Ahmedabad from January 23 to 27. Blessing Prithviraj Jain, he remarked that his spirit of service and dedication toward Gau Mata would surely earn him public support.
The event was conducted under the guidance of President Maganji Chaudhary, Vice President Joitaji Purohit, and Treasurer Aajaji Mali. Senior devotees including Kishanji Mali, Nileshji Mali, Motiji Chaudhary, Ishwarji Purohit, Hadmataji Purohit, Magilalji Chaudhary, Natvarji Chaudhary, Jodhaji Chaudhary, Ganeshji Mali (M), Ganeshji Mali (G), Bhamraji Suthar, Nibaji Mali, along with numerous Haribhakts, marked their gracious presence, contributing to the discipline, dignity, and spiritual grandeur of the event.
The Divya Shakotsav transcended being merely a religious function and emerged as a living symbol of collective devotion, unity, and selfless service. Every offering of body, mind, and resources reflected pure devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Shri Swaminarayan. Through collective effort and heartfelt dedication, the event became an unforgettable spiritual experience filled with divine bliss.
