SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2026: HONOURING GALLANTRY AND EXCELLENCE

Jaipur:  The Sapta Shakti Command Investiture Ceremony was held with customary elan and military grandeur at the Sapta Shakti Auditorium, Jaipur Military Station on 09 January 2026. The ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command.

            Investiture Ceremony is conducted annually to honour officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and soldiers who have distinguished themselves through courage, leadership and selfless service to the Nation. The ceremony was witnessed by officers and men of the Sapta Shakti Command, veterans and the proud families of the awardees.

            Yesterday, during the solemn investiture, 06 Sena Medals (Gallantry), 01 Sena Medal (Distinguished), 01 Yudh Seva Medals and 02 Vishisht Seva Medals were conferred upon deserving personnel in recognition of acts of individual gallantry and exceptional devotion to duty. In addition, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief South Western Command Unit Citations were presented to 17 Units for their outstanding performance and professional excellence. 04 Veteran Achievers and 03 Civilian Administration Officials were also felicitated for their distinguished contributions.

            On this momentous occasion, the Army Commander extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the awardees and their families, lauding their exemplary gallantry, steadfast dedication and professionalism. He also acknowledged the achievements of the Sapta Shakti Command and its units in all domains of military service specially Operation Sindoor. He exhorted all ranks to continue to uphold the highest traditions of the Indian          Army and to remain ever committed to the service of the Nation. He later interacted with the award winners and their families, acknowledging the sacrifices and unwavering support of families which remain the bedrock of Indian Army’s enduring legacy of valour and honour.

            The Investiture Ceremony reaffirmed the commitment of the Indian Army to recognising merit, courage and excellence and served as a source of inspiration for all ranks to emulate the finest ideals of military service.
