Women Power Enters the GUinness World Records

New Delhi: On the occasion of World Cancer Day, February 4, 2026, Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal achieved a historic milestone by creating a Guinness World Record for registering the highest number of people for cervical cancer screening within a span of just eight hours. This remarkable achievement was accomplished through a nationwide mega campaign conducted simultaneously by nearly 400 branch councils of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal across the country, presenting a powerful example of organised, disciplined, and socially committed women power.
To commemorate this historic accomplishment, a special programme was organised at Anuvrat Bhawan, where representatives of Guinness World Records formally presented the certificate to Mrs. Suman Nahata, President of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal, in the august presence of Muni Udit Kumar Ji, the learned disciple of His Holiness Acharya Shri Mahashraman Ji. Addressing the gathering, Muni Udit Kumar Ji stated that this initiative of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal is not merely a record but a confluence of service, sensitivity, and collective resolve. He emphasised that generating such widespread awareness and participation on a sensitive issue like women’s health is truly commendable and has the potential to guide society towards a more conscious and compassionate direction.
Appreciating the service-oriented initiative, Mr. Mahendra Nahata, President of Jain Shwetambar Terapanthi Mahasabha, remarked that this historic achievement reflects the spiritual inspiration and visionary guidance of His Holiness Acharya Shri Mahashraman Ji. He added that the consistent efforts of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal, particularly in the field of women’s health and social welfare, are truly worthy of admiration and reverence.
Mr. Sukhraj Sethia, President of Delhi Terapanthi Sabha, expressed that Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal has proved that when collective determination is united with disciplined action, even the impossible can be achieved. He described this accomplishment as a matter of pride not only for the Terapanth community but for the nation as a whole. On this occasion, senior social worker Mr. Jodharaj Baid, Chief Trustee Mrs. Kanak Barmecha, Trustee Mrs. Manjula Bhansali, Ms. Sunita Jain, along with several representatives of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal, jointly received the Guinness World Records certificate.
Presiding over the programme, Mrs. Suman Nahata stated that this record does not belong to any single individual or institution but is the collective outcome of the dedication, discipline, and selfless service of every unit of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal across India. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all members nationwide and stated that this achievement stands as a living testimony to the creative strength, social responsibility, and compassionate leadership of women.
The primary objective of this nationwide campaign was to create awareness among women about cancer and to ensure early detection so that timely medical intervention could be provided. Free cervical cancer screening was conducted through Pap smear tests. With the rising incidence of cervical cancer, this large-scale initiative focused on prevention, early diagnosis, and awareness, ultimately setting a historic benchmark. The ceremony concluded in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, pride, and spiritual inspiration, and the achievement emerged as a lasting source of motivation for society.
