First Event of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly's 'Amrit Utsav' Celebrations on July 15

Jaipur. The 75th anniversary of the formation of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride on Wednesday, July 15.

Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani stated that the first of four major events marking the Assembly's 'Amrit Utsav' (Platinum Jubilee) celebrations is scheduled for July 15. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate the event, while Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan will serve as the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Governor Haribhau Bagde and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will attend as distinguished guests.

A unique gathering—the 'Vidhayi Gaurav Yatra'—will bring current and former MLAs together under one roof at the Assembly for the first time.

Speaker Devnani mentioned that vigorous preparations are underway at the Assembly for this inaugural 'Amrit Utsav' event, and comprehensive arrangements are being made for the hospitality of former MLAs during their visit to Jaipur. Invitations have been extended to current and former MLAs, as well as Members of Parliament (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) elected from Rajasthan. This event promises to be unique, extraordinary, and historic, as it will witness a gathering of all these public representatives together under the single roof of the Assembly chamber.

Speaker Devnani informed that the ceremony will commence at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 15. Former Assembly Speakers, Deputy Speakers, and the most senior MLAs will be specially honored during the event. Many former MLAs, including 100-year-old former MLA Pandit Ramkishan, will participate in the ceremony. He stated that during this remarkable 'Amrit Kaal' gathering of the Legislative Assembly, discussions on significant laws enacted by the House over the past 75 years have been scheduled for two midday sessions. In these sessions, sixteen experienced former and incumbent MLAs will deliberate on 24 such laws.

Devnani remarked that the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly's 'Amrit Mahotsav' is a celebration of democratic traditions, legislative achievements, and a commitment to public service. This event will serve to weave together past experiences, present achievements, and future possibilities.
