Udaipur: Preparations of the Indian lacrosse team for the Asian Lacrosse Games, to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from February 1 to 6, 2026, are in full swing at Maharana Pratap Sports Village, Udaipur.
At a felicitation ceremony, Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani and Shraddha Mudiya, Founder of Kashti Foundation, honoured the players and coach and extended their best wishes. On this occasion, 9 women players—Sunita Meena, Dali Gameti, Meera Dauja, Jula Kumari Gurjar, Yashishtha Batra, Yashoda Gameti, Mukan Kumari Gurjar, Roshni Bose, and Janvi Rathore—along with 5 male players—Mohanlal Gameti, Khumaram Gameti, Dayashankar Gameti, Narayanlal Gameti, and Nishant Nagda—and coach Neeraj Batra were felicitated.
For the women players, Governor Shri Haribhau Bagde gifted imported eye gear from Japan (valued at ₹12,500 per gear). Additionally, Rajasthan Mines and Minerals Limited (RMML), as a sponsor, provided football stud shoes to the players, while Sharda Mudiya, Founder of Kashti Foundation, presented trolley bags to ensure uniformity within the team.
It is noteworthy that for the 14 local tribal-area players selected in the Indian team, Rajasthan Mines and Minerals Limited, inspired by Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani, extended sponsorship of ₹1,90,000 per player, amounting to a total of ₹26.60 lakh.
The Indian Lacrosse Team will depart from Udaipur for Saudi Arabia on January 30. The felicitation ceremony was attended by Kirti Rathore, Executive Chairperson of Rajasthan Mines and Minerals Limited, along with Bharti Raj, Naresh Elania, B.S. Patrabat, and other officers and staff members.
