Two-Day State-Level Under-15 Wrestling Championship Begins

Udaipur: The two-day State-Level Under-15 Boys’ and Girls’ Wrestling Championship began on Sunday at the Atal Bihari Multipurpose Indoor Hall, M.B. Ground, Udaipur. The competition is being organized by the Shri Chaturbhuj Hanuman National Gymnasium Committee and the District Wrestling Association in memory of late Ustad Omprakash Sen.
Union Minister of Agriculture Shri Bhagirath Choudhary inaugurated the championship by shaking hands with the wrestlers and encouraging them. Prior to this, he paid floral tributes to the image of Bajrang Bali and offered flowers to the portrait of late Omprakash Sen.
On this occasion, Minister Bhagirath Choudhary said that compared to the past, Indian wrestlers have brought international medals over the last 12 years, making the nation proud. He boosted the morale of the young wrestlers and wished them success. State Tribal Affairs Minister Shri Babulal Kharadi, Rural MLA Shri Phool Singh Meena, and former MLA Shri Trilok Purbia were also present at the ceremony.
District Wrestling Association President Shri Paras Singhvi informed that more than 350 players from across the state are participating in the competition, competing for 30 gold, 30 silver, and 60 bronze medals. Gold medalists will be awarded ₹1 lakh, silver medalists ₹50,000, and bronze medalists ₹25,000 by the government.
Among those present were Patron of the Rajasthan Wrestling Association Shri I.K. Dutta, Secretary Shri Ummed Singh, Treasurer Shri Satyaprakash, and organizing committee members Siddharth Sharma, Prahlad Singh Chauhan, Devendra Sahu, social worker Dr. Praveen Yadav, Krish Sen, and other office bearers of the District Wrestling Association. A third umpire system has been introduced in the competition, and a large LED screen has been installed in the hall for spectators.
Wrestlers born in the years 2011, 2012, and 2013 are participating in this championship. Krish Sen stated that the competition is providing a strong platform for young wrestlers and giving new direction to the sport of wrestling.

•    46 kg (Girls): Anshika (Churu) – Gold, Sandhya Vishnoi (Bhilwara) – Silver, Kavita (Jodhpur) – Bronze
•    54 kg (Girls): Naina Gurjar (Bharatpur) – Gold, Arju (Hanumangarh) – Silver, Kanika Taylor (Bhilwara) – Bronze
•    64 kg (Girls): Krishna Malakar (Ajmer) – Gold, Bhoomi (Alwar) – Silver, Anita (Jodhpur) – Bronze
•    41 kg (Boys): Harish Siyag (Bikaner) – Gold, Ajay Kahar (Chittorgarh) – Silver, Daksh Solanki (Bharatpur) – Bronze
•    48 kg (Boys): Bhagirath (Bikaner) – Gold, Surjanath (Bhilwara) – Silver, Yuvraj (Ajmer) – Bronze
•    57 kg (Boys): Denny Mali (Ajmer) – Gold, Vikas Vishnoi (Bhilwara) – Silver, Devaraj Gurjar (Kota) – Bronze
•    68 kg (Boys): Surendra (Jodhpur) – Gold, Anil Singh Rajput (Sikar) – Silver, Parikshit Vishnoi (Bhilwara) – Bronze
•    85 kg (Boys): Manan Iwal (Rajsamand) – Gold, Akhil Yadav (Bhilwara) – Silver, Khwahish (Alwar) – Bronze

•    75 kg (Boys): Veer Pratap Singh Rathore (Bhilwara) – Gold, Ankit Malakar (Ajmer) – Silver, Khwahish (Alwar) – Bronze
The championship continues with great enthusiasm, showcasing the talent and determination of young wrestlers from across Rajasthan.
