Udaipur: The Department of Community Medicine, RNT Medical College and Associated Hospitals, organized an awareness programme on World Population Day at the National Lecture Theatre (NLT). Based on the theme “Realizing the Hope and Aspirations of Young People – Today and for the Future,” the programme focused on creating awareness among youth about population balance, family planning, maternal and child health, gender equality, and sustainable development.

The event was attended by Dr. Rahul Jain, Principal and Controller of RNT Medical College and Associated Hospitals, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Vijay Gupta, Additional Principal, was present as the Guest of Honour, while Dr. Kirti, Additional Principal and Head of the Department of Community Medicine, chaired the programme. In his welcome address, Dr. Ashish Jain emphasized that population balance is not only a health concern but is also connected with education, environmental protection, resource management, and social development. He encouraged students to become responsible citizens and spread awareness in society.

Various competitions, including poster-making, slogan writing, rangoli, and quiz, were organized to encourage creative expression and awareness about population stabilization and family welfare. He highlighted the impact of population growth on healthcare, education, employment, environment, and resources. He urged families to focus on better education, nutrition, and healthcare for children and promoted the message of “Small Family, Happy Family and Developed India.”
