Udaipur: The Fourth Udaipur Dance Festival 2026 brought together an impressive blend of art, culture, and talent, with performers aged between five and sixty sharing the stage in a vibrant celebration of dance. Jointly organized by Kathak Ashram Sansthan and the Udaipur Dance Festival, the one-day event was held at the Commerce Auditorium of Commerce College.
Festival Coordinator Chandrakala Chaudhary said that more than 320 students and artists from India and abroad participated in the event, delivering 108 performances that showcased the richness of both Indian and Western dance traditions. The festival featured a diverse repertoire, including traditional Rajasthani, Punjabi, Marathi, and Gujarati folk dances, alongside classical forms such as Kathak, Bharatanatyam, and Odissi. Contemporary styles including Hip-Hop, K-Pop, Fusion, Lyrical, and Contemporary dance also captivated the audience.
The event was energetically hosted by renowned anchor Nitin Dashora, whose engaging presentation added to the festive atmosphere.
During the समारोह, distinguished patrons who have made significant contributions to promoting art and culture were honoured. Among those felicitated were Sanjay Gupta, Dr. Sonu Jain, Dharmendra of Lions Club Ashoka, and Alok Gupta of Rotary Club Ashoka. Guests of honour included Rahul Badala, Rajiv Surana, Sandeep Rathore, and Kuldeep Rao.
Workshops led by Piyush Vasita, Vaibhav Purohit, Priyanshi Joshi, and Rajiv Bapna helped nurture participants' skills, while a panel of judges selected the festival's outstanding performers. Chandrakala Chaudhary said the festival aims to provide emerging grassroots talent with a national platform to showcase and refine their artistic abilities.
