Tribute Meeting Held in Memory of Dr. O. P. Mahatma While Serving the Destitute

Udaipur: On the first death anniversary of Dr. O. P. Mahatma—State President of the Federation of NGOs Rajasthan and a retired District Chief Medical and Health Officer—a tribute meeting was organized in dedication to the service of the suffering and the destitute. The program was held at Jay Ambe Ashram by the Mewar Shakti Kalyan Trust.

Addressing the gathering, Kunwar Vijaysingh Kachhwaha, State General Secretary of the Federation of NGOs Rajasthan, highlighted the life of service of Dr. O. P. Mahatma. He stated that Dr. Mahatma remained actively associated with nearly one thousand social, religious, NGO, and trust organizations across the state and dedicated about 40 years of his life to public service.

Dr. Karan Singh Mogara, State President of Mewar Vikas Manch, shared that after retiring from nearly 35 years of government medical service, Dr. Mahatma devoted the remaining 40 years of his life selflessly to the welfare of all sections of society.

Basanti Vaishnav, Founder President of Mewar Shakti Kalyan Trust, said that inspired by Dr. Mahatma, she registered the trust and began service activities to provide shelter and support to the destitute and poor. At the ashram, facilities such as shelter, food, education, medical care, employment support, and housing are provided free of cost to the needy. These services have been continuously offered for the past two years.

International short-story writer Dr. Chandraprakash Chittora prepared a brief booklet on the life of Dr. O. P. Mahatma, which was formally released by Dr. Vishnu Mahatma. On this occasion, an announcement was also made to publish a memorial volume soon.

Spiritual guru Haridatt paid floral tributes accompanied by Ramdhun.

Several prominent social workers and representatives of religious and social organizations were present, including Pandit Satyanarayan Chaubisa, Bharat Kumawat, Shoorveer Singh Kachhwaha, Manish Sharma, Narayan Das Vaishnav, Gajendra Kumar Jain, Bhupendra Jariya, Ashok Jain, Narendra Rawal, Raja Bhandari, and many others.

All participants collectively paid homage to Dr. O. P. Mahatma and pledged to follow their guru’s guidance as a lifelong commitment to service. The trust also organized refreshments and provided meals to the needy on this occasion.
