Udaipur:With the twin objectives of promoting forest conservation and spreading awareness about organ donation in southern Rajasthan, the Green People Society, Udaipur, is set to launch its annual cycling campaign **‘Pedal to Jungle – 9th Edition’** on **January 9, 2026**. The campaign will flag off from **Fateh Sagar Lake, Udaipur**, with an inaugural ceremony and green-flag rally scheduled at **8:00 am**.
The three-day awareness अभियान will be conducted from **January 9 to 11**, covering the routes of **Udaipur–Kumbhalgarh–Rajsamand–Pali** and adjoining forest areas, blending environmental advocacy with social responsibility.
Sharing details, **Mr. Rahul Bhatnagar**, President of Green People Society and former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (IFS), said that the campaign is being organized with the support of the Forest Department. He emphasized that the initiative aims to sensitize people not only about protecting forests but also about the life-saving importance of organ donation.
“Nature conservation and saving human lives are both vital for society. Through ‘Pedal to Jungle’, we want to connect people with forests as well as with humane causes like organ donation,” he said.
Mr. Bhatnagar further informed that this is the **third cycling campaign dedicated to organ donation** organized by the Green People Society, and it also enjoys the support of the **World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) India**. Various public awareness programmes, interactive sessions, and community engagement activities will be conducted during the campaign.
He appealed to members of organ donation groups and citizens at large to participate in the inauguration ceremony, flag-off event, and other formal programmes to strengthen the message. He clarified that **cycling is not mandatory** for participation—mere presence and support for the causes of forest conservation and organ donation is equally meaningful.
Interested individuals can coordinate and seek participation details by contacting **Mr. Rahul Bhatnagar (Mobile: 9414156229)**. Urging Udaipur residents to widely share the invitation, he said the initiative would play a significant role in forming an organ donation group in Udaipur and paving the way for the launch of a new chapter of the **MOHAN Foundation** in the region.
