Awareness Workshop Organized

Udaipur: A one-day awareness workshop was organized at Government Senior Secondary School, Gogunda, by the Women’s Safety and Counseling Center, Police Station Nai, operated by Vikalp Sansthan under the Department of Women Empowerment. The session was conducted by Legal Counselor Mamta Goswami and Gogunda Supervisor Seema Chouhan.
During the workshop, Supervisor Seema Chouhan informed students about the Shiksha Setu Yojana and highlighted the provision of free computer education under the scheme. She also discussed the legal age of marriage and explained the harmful consequences of child marriage.
Legal Counselor Mamta Goswami provided information about the Women’s Safety and Counseling Center and briefed the girls about the WEB (Sakhi One Stop Center), which includes shelter facilities and support services. She also shared important information about cybercrime awareness.
Students were informed about important helpline numbers, including the Women’s Helpline (181), Police Helpline (112 and 100), and Child Helpline (1098). The workshop concluded with students taking a pledge against child marriage.
