Udaipur: A seminar on the life and contributions of Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar was organized yesterday at the College of Community and Applied Sciences, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur. Faculty members and students participated in the program with great enthusiasm.
The chief guest and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Pratap Singh, in his address, described Dr. Hedgewar as a great patriot, an efficient organizer, and a visionary leader. He stated that Dr. Hedgewar’s life was an embodiment of simplicity, discipline, and dedication to national service. Addressing the students, he urged them to play an active role in nation-building and emphasized the need to develop a sense of patriotism, discipline, and social responsibility among youth.
Hemendra Shrimali, Divisional Sangh Chalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), mentioned in his speech that the RSS was founded by Dr. Hedgewar in 1925. He encouraged students to associate with such organizations and contribute towards social service and national interest.
The program was chaired by the college Dean, Dr. Dhriti Solanki, who welcomed the guests by presenting bouquets and traditional shawls and highlighted the importance of the seminar. On this occasion, Dr. Vinod Yadav, Professor at CTAE, presented a detailed biography of Dr. Hedgewar, outlining his thoughts and contributions.
The program was smoothly conducted by Dr. Anjali Juyal, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Assistant Dean (Student Welfare), Dr. Rupal Babel. The students and faculty present at the seminar showed keen interest in the topic and found the session highly informative.
