Tree Plantation, Guru Felicitation Program Held at Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur on Guru Purnima

UDAIPUR: The Department of Plant Pathology at the Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, organized a tree plantation drive and Guru Felicitation program to mark the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima.

The program was conducted under the guidance of Head of the Department Dr. R. N. Bunkar. Faculty members Dr. Pokhar Rawal and Dr. N. L. Meena, along with Ph.D. and M.Sc. students of the department, enthusiastically participated in planting saplings on the campus.

During the event, faculty members and students highlighted the significance of the guru-shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition and expressed their gratitude and respect toward their mentors. Speakers emphasized that teachers serve as guiding forces in imparting knowledge, values, and life skills, while initiatives such as tree plantation play a vital role in environmental conservation and sustainable development.

The participants also pledged to plant more trees and ensure their regular care and maintenance. The program concluded in a cordial atmosphere with participants exchanging Guru Purnima greetings.
