### 87-Year-Old Heart Patient Gets New Life

Udaipur,  In a remarkable medical achievement, doctors at Pacific Medical College & Hospital successfully performed a total hip replacement surgery on 87-year-old Mohan Singh, despite severe cardiac complications and multiple health risks.

The patient, a resident of Udaipur, had suffered a fracture in his right hip after a fall on March 30. His condition was highly critical due to a history of hypertension, a previous heart attack in 2020, and prolonged use of blood thinners for over six years. Considering his advanced age and complex medical background, several hospitals had earlier refused to operate.

The challenging three-hour surgery was led by spine and joint replacement surgeon Dr. Anurodh Shandilya, along with a dedicated team of specialists. A hybrid implant technique was used, while spinal and epidural anesthesia were carefully administered to minimize stress on the patient’s heart during the procedure.

Following the successful surgery, Mohan Singh has shown significant recovery and has started walking with the help of a walker. His family expressed deep gratitude to the medical team, calling it a “new life” for him.

Chairman Rahul Agarwal congratulated the team, stating that the institution remains committed to handling even the most complex cases with advanced technology and teamwork. He emphasized that such success highlights the availability of world-class healthcare facilities in the Mewar region, bringing hope to patients who once had limited options.
