Sri Ganganagar: Under the leadership of District Collector Dr. Manju and Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan, a powerful anti-drug play was organized in Shrikaranpur as part of the Drug-Free Sri Ganganagar Campaign. Through this play, performers vividly portrayed the harsh realities of drug abuse, its harmful consequences, and the ways to overcome it.
Mr. Vikram Jyani from the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, along with Lakshya Jyani, Sahiram, Aman, and Anshu, delivered moving performances showing how drug abuse gradually strips a person of family, education, health, and respect. They also conveyed the important message that a timely decision can save an entire life.
During the program, District SP Dr. Amrita Duhan emphasized that drug abuse is not just an individual problem, but a societal one. She said that combating it requires not only law enforcement but also the collective responsibility of families, educational institutions, society, and the youth themselves.
At the conclusion of the play, the audience took a pledge to live a drug-free life, vowing to stay away from drugs and raise awareness among others. The event was attended by a large number of citizens, youth, teachers, and social workers, with municipal staff playing a significant role. The program was hosted by Rajkumar Nagpal.
