Pacific Dental College Sweeps Men's, Women's Titles at MediDent Inter-College Basketball Tournament

UDAIPUR : Pacific Dental College and Hospital, Debari, emerged as the champion in both the men's and women's categories at the Pacific MediDent Inter-College Basketball Tournament, which concluded after a week-long competition held from July 22 to July 28 at the college campus in Udaipur.

The tournament featured seven teams representing four medical and dental colleges. A total of 11 matches were played during the event, with players displaying competitive spirit, discipline and teamwork throughout the competition.

In the men's final, Pacific Dental College and Hospital, Debari, defeated the team from RNT Medical College to claim the championship title after a closely contested match.

In the women's final, Pacific Dental College and Hospital, Debari, secured another victory by defeating Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences, completing a clean sweep of both divisions.

The closing ceremony was attended by Principal Dr. Bhagwan Das Rai as the chief guest. He presented trophies and prizes to the champion and runner-up teams and honored outstanding performers with awards for Best Shooter in the men's and women's categories and Most Valuable Player (MVP) in both divisions.

Match officials who contributed to the successful conduct of the tournament were also recognized with mementos for their service.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rai said sports play a vital role in developing discipline, leadership, self-confidence and team spirit among young people. He praised the participants for their performances and congratulated the college management, organizing committee, match officials, volunteers and players for making the tournament a success.

The event concluded with best wishes for the athletes' future and a message encouraging them to uphold the values of sportsmanship, discipline and teamwork in their personal and professional lives.
