Udaipur: In a significant step towards promoting youth skill development, entrepreneurship, and industry-oriented education, the MSME Technology Development Centre (Process and Product Development Centre, Agra), Extension Centre, Udaipur, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research University, Udaipur, on Thursday.
University President Prof. Hemant Kothari said the partnership aims to equip students and young professionals with industry-relevant skills through vocational training, employment-oriented courses, internships, entrepreneurship development programmes, and advanced technical training. Under the MoU, both institutions will jointly organise training programmes, workshops, seminars, and certification courses.
The agreement was signed by M. Ganesh, Assistant Director (In-Charge), MSME Technology Development Centre, Udaipur, and Prof. Hemant Kothari, President of Pacific University.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mukesh Shrimali, Director of Pacific Polytechnic College, said that academic knowledge alone is no longer sufficient, and students must also acquire practical and technical skills that meet industry requirements. He noted that the collaboration would provide students with exposure to modern technologies, guidance from industry experts, and better employment and self-employment opportunities.
M. Ganesh stated that the MoU will facilitate regular training programmes in areas such as CNC machining, CAD/CAM, product design and development, Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programmes (ESDP), advanced technical and management training, skill upgradation, internships, employment-oriented courses, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Participants who successfully complete the programmes will receive certificates after evaluation.
Representatives of both institutions expressed confidence that the partnership would empower students with industry-ready skills and enhance their competitiveness at both the national and global levels.
