Kota: To ensure quality passenger services and food safety, continuous inspections and actions are being undertaken under the direction of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Saurabh Jain of the West Central Railway, Kota Division.

As part of this campaign, Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Kishor Patel conducted a surprise inspection at platform number 04 of Kota railway station. During the inspection, the pantry car of train number 13237, Patna–Kota Express, was checked where food was found being cooked inside the pantry. The staff was issued a warning, and raw food items stored there were seized.

Meanwhile, five unauthorized vendors were caught selling food items on the same train. The food was seized and ordered to be destroyed, which was done by burying it in the ground in their presence. Since all of them were also traveling without tickets, a fine of ₹4,160 was imposed on them.

Additionally, two stalls and one trolley located at platform number 04 were thoroughly inspected.

The inspection team included Catering Commercial Inspector Mr. Bhagwat Sisodiya, Deputy Station Manager (Commercial) Mr. Vikas Gupta, Chief Ticket Inspector Mr. L.K. Meena, Travelling Ticket Examiners Mrs. Vishnu Kumari and Mr. Fateh Singh, Chief Health Inspector Mr. Vishnu Sharma, along with security personnel.
