####Udaipur to Emerge as Hub of Industrial Mahakumbh, Rajasthan Industrial Trade Expo ‘RITEX’ from March 20

Udaipur: A new chapter is set to begin in Rajasthan’s industrial, trade and investment landscape as Udaipur prepares to host the second edition of the Rajasthan Industrial Trade Expo – RITEX 2026. Organised jointly by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ivention, the three-day mega industrial exhibition will be held on March 20, 21 and 22, 2026 at B.N. College Ground, Udaipur.

The expo will remain open daily from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, with free entry for visitors. More than 200 stalls will be set up and over 30,000 visitors are expected to attend. Industry experts estimate that the event could generate business opportunities exceeding ₹1,000 crore, both directly and indirectly.

To share details of the upcoming expo, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised a press conference on Wednesday at Ashoka Palace, Shobhagpura (100 Feet Road), Udaipur. Senior Executive Member of PHDCCI and Udaipur Division Convenor Mukesh Madhavani welcomed the media and presented a comprehensive overview of RITEX 2026.

Strong Platform for Industry, Trade and Investment

PHDCCI Resident Director R.K. Gupta said that the Rajasthan Industrial Trade Expo is not merely an exhibition, but a powerful platform bringing together industry, trade, investment, technology, innovation and policy. He stated that the three-day event is likely to create business prospects worth more than ₹1,000 crore, giving fresh momentum to the economy of Udaipur, the Mewar region and Rajasthan as a whole.

He highlighted that Rajasthan has emerged as one of India’s leading states in diverse industrial sectors such as automobiles, textiles, stones, mining, engineering, agro-based industries, food processing, renewable energy, gems and jewellery, handicrafts, furniture, construction material, pharmaceuticals, sports goods, toys and cottage industries. Investor-friendly government policies, skilled manpower, strong road, rail and air connectivity, and a vast domestic market make Rajasthan highly attractive for investments.

The key objective of RITEX is not only product display, but also industrial networking, investor–entrepreneur dialogue, promotion of MSMEs, and showcasing Rajasthan’s industrial strength at national and international levels.

Participation from Other States Too

Ivention Director Piyush Khowal said the expo will prove to be a milestone for the development of trade and industry in Udaipur and southern Rajasthan. Exhibitors from Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and other states will also participate.

The expo will feature a wide range of sectors including stones, handicrafts, mining and minerals, machinery and equipment, renewable energy (solar products), agriculture and value-added food products, organic foods, food processing machinery, farm equipment, pharmaceuticals, textiles, fashion products, home décor, electrical goods, HORECA products, construction and building materials, tourism, sports goods, toys, gems and jewellery, AYUSH products, wood and furniture, One District One Product (ODOP) items, and products made by NGOs and cottage industries.

Udaipur: Beyond Tourism, a Business Destination

R.K. Gupta said Udaipur was chosen as the venue as it is not just a tourism city, but also a hub of mineral resources, stone industry, handicrafts, handloom, jewellery making, furniture industry, agriculture-based activities and MSMEs. Districts like Udaipur, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur and Banswara together form a region rich in raw materials, skilled artisans and industrial potential.

Udaipur’s strategic location, proximity to Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, excellent transport facilities and international tourism identity make it ideal for hosting national and global industrial events. Through RITEX, Udaipur will strengthen its identity as an industrial and commercial centre, alongside tourism.

200+ Exhibitors, 30,000 Visitors Expected

Gupta informed that more than 200 exhibitors will participate, while over 30,000 visitors including industrialists, traders, investors, government officials, technical experts and institutional buyers are expected. Around 50 foreign delegates may also attend. The expo will facilitate B2B, B2C and B2G interactions, on-site business deals, supply contracts, dealership agreements, export orders and discussions on future projects.

Major economic activity is expected in sectors such as stones, mining, construction material, handicrafts, textiles, tourism, hospitality, agriculture, food processing, renewable energy and engineering, leading to large-scale trade generation.

Boost for Local Industries and Export Opportunities

The expo will be especially significant for Udaipur and the Mewar region, as most participating sectors are directly linked to the local economy. The stone and mining sector, the industrial backbone of Udaipur and Rajsamand, will gain access to new buyers, export markets and modern technologies.

Handicrafts and handloom products—an integral part of Udaipur’s cultural identity—will get direct market access, benefiting artisans and preserving traditional art forms. The gems and jewellery industry will also find new design, partnership and export opportunities.

Tourism, hospitality and food industries—key pillars of Udaipur’s economy—are expected to attract new investments and international collaborations through the expo.

Focus on ODOP, Farmers, Women and Rural Entrepreneurs

Special emphasis will be given to agriculture, food processing and One District One Product (ODOP) based activities. Products from farmers, rural entrepreneurs and women self-help groups will be showcased, providing them direct market exposure.

Renewable energy and engineering sectors, aligned with future needs, will highlight sustainable solutions and investment opportunities. Similarly, construction, furniture and lifestyle products will find strong demand due to tourism and urban development.

Technical Sessions and Policy Dialogues

Several technical sessions will be organised during RITEX on topics such as ODOP-based trade opportunities, GI tagging and branding, GST awareness, new investment prospects in Udaipur, and developing Udaipur as a film production hub. These sessions will connect industries with knowledge, policy and growth opportunities.

The expo will be particularly beneficial for MSMEs, youth, women and rural entrepreneurs, offering access to markets, technology, investments, networking and government schemes, thereby promoting self-reliance, employment and inclusive growth.

Towards an Inter-State Industrial Networking Hub

R.K. Gupta said efforts are underway to secure support from both central and state governments, including under schemes of the Ministry of MSME. The aim is to develop Udaipur as an inter-state industrial networking centre.

He added that many Udaipur-based handicraft products have the potential for GI tagging, and the expo will help in this process. There is also strong potential for AYUSH and Ayurveda tourism, which will be promoted in collaboration with hotels and resorts. Youth will be linked with startups, skills and industries to curb migration and generate local employment.

Success of First Edition Encourages Bigger Vision

Gupta recalled that the first edition of RITEX, also held in Udaipur, was highly successful and received strong industry support. Building on that success, the second edition is being organised on a much larger scale. The long-term impact will include new industries, investments, employment opportunities and export growth.

While Udaipur has long been known primarily as a tourism city, RITEX will help it emerge as a destination for investment and manufacturing as well.

RITEX to Drive Vision of Developed Rajasthan

Gupta said the Rajasthan government aims to make the state a USD 350 billion economy by 2029. Events like RITEX will play a crucial role in achieving this goal by boosting investment, industrial expansion, exports and MSME empowerment.

The Rajasthan Industrial Trade Expo 2026 is not just an industrial event, but a platform shaping the future economic direction of the state. From Udaipur’s soil, this initiative will infuse new energy into industry, trade and investment, steering Rajasthan towards a new path of development.
