Jaipur Hosts a Grand Celebration of Stone Heritage

The Pink City of Jaipur is currently witnessing a remarkable celebration of craftsmanship and natural wealth as a unique stone festival unfolds in grandeur. The four-day India Stone Mart 2026 has drawn participation from stone producers and industry experts from across India and abroad, turning the city into a vibrant hub of architectural excellence and mineral heritage.

The event was inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, who described Rajasthan’s stone industry as the backbone of the state’s economy. A significant share of India’s natural stone originates from Rajasthan, while its marble and sandstone are globally admired for their quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal. The government, he emphasized, is committed to positioning Rajasthan not only as India’s but as the world’s leading stone hub.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari also graced the venue at JECC, Sitapura, where she inaugurated the Architecture Festival and honored the winners of the 12th All India Stone Architecture Awards 2025. She noted that the event strengthens the global recognition of Rajasthan’s architectural heritage, stone craftsmanship, and artistic traditions—an enduring symbol of pride for the state.

Rajasthan’s stone legacy is deeply embedded in some of the most iconic monuments of India and the world—from the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and India’s new Parliament building to Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate, the Red Fort, the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Qutub Minar. Countless temples, palaces, forts, hotels, and heritage structures across continents stand as timeless testimonies to Rajasthan’s stone and the unmatched skill of its artisans. From Makrana’s marble to the distinctive stones of Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Dungarpur, Banswara, Karauli, Dholpur, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, and Kota—each region tells a story of geological richness and artistic mastery. In every sense, Rajasthan reigns supreme in the world of stone.

According to the Chief Minister, India Stone Mart 2026 represents a global flight for Rajasthan’s stone industry and holds immense importance from an export perspective. With international demand for Indian natural stone steadily rising, the exhibition provides exporters with direct access to global buyers. Experts believe the event will also generate widespread benefits for MSMEs, mining operations, logistics, and allied sectors across the state.

Ultimately, India Stone Mart 2026 emerges not merely as a commercial exhibition but as a powerful symbol of Rajasthan’s industrial strength, visionary policy direction, and global ambition. The state’s leadership signals a determined push toward investment, innovation, and employment—ensuring that Rajasthan’s timeless stone heritage continues to shape skylines around the world.
