Geetanjali University Hosts Faculty Development Program on Effective Implementation of B.Pharm Curriculum 2026 under NEP 2020

Udaipur: Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy, Geetanjali University, in collaboration with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, successfully organized a one-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Effective Implementation of the B.Pharm Curriculum (2026) under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020." The program aimed to prepare pharmacy educators for the effective implementation of the revised B.Pharm Curriculum 2026 in alignment with the vision of NEP 2020.

The inaugural session was graced by Mr. J.H. Chaudhary, Vice President of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, he highlighted PCI's commitment to introducing a uniform, modern, and future-oriented pharmacy curriculum across the country by 2026, ensuring quality education that meets global standards and evolving healthcare needs.

The Faculty Development Program featured insightful sessions by eminent academicians and subject experts, including Dr. H. Lalhlenmawia, Executive Council Member, PCI; Dr. Sarath Chandran C., Co-Chairman, ERC and Central Council Member, PCI; Prof. Sandeep Grover, Former Professor and Acting Vice Chancellor; Dr. V.K. Maurya, Senior Academic Expert; Dr. Neeraj Upmanyu, Central Council Member, PCI; and Mr. Prateek Shukla, AI Expert and Research Scientist at ICMR.

The expert sessions focused on key aspects of the newly revised B.Pharm Curriculum 2026, including its academic structure, flexible and Outcome-Based Education (OBE), Bloom's Taxonomy, modern assessment methodologies, and the effective integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in pharmacy education and research.

More than 100 faculty members from pharmacy colleges across the region enthusiastically participated in the program, gaining valuable insights into the latest curriculum reforms, innovative teaching methodologies, and future-ready educational practices.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mahendra Singh Rathore, Faculty Member and Program Coordinator, Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy. He reaffirmed Geetanjali University's commitment to integrating traditional pharmacy education with modern technology and global academic standards to ensure the successful implementation of the B.Pharm Curriculum 2026.

On this occasion, Mr. Ankit Agrawal, Executive Director; Dr. Rakesh Kumar Vyas, Vice Chancellor; and Dr. Arvind Yadav, Registrar, Geetanjali University, congratulated the organizing committee of the Institute of Pharmacy for successfully conducting the Faculty Development Program and appreciated their efforts toward strengthening pharmacy education in line with the National Education Policy 2020.
