####Chaturmas Is a Golden Opportunity for Self-Transformation, Says Sadhvi Vidyutprabha Shriji

UDAIPUR, Chaturmas offers a unique opportunity for inner transformation, and if a person fails to bring positive change during these four sacred months, the true purpose of the spiritual season remains unfulfilled, Sadhvi Vidyutprabha Shriji said while addressing devotees during the Chaturmas spiritual discourse series at Vasupujya Temple, Dadabari, on Tuesday.

Drawing a parallel with the changing seasons, Sadhvi Shriji said that just as nature transforms from scorching heat to lush greenery, individuals should also strive to transform their thoughts, behaviour, and emotions.

She described Chaturmas as much more than a period of religious rituals, calling it an ideal time for self-reflection, self-purification, and the pursuit of Samyak Gyan (right knowledge). She urged devotees to regularly listen to the teachings of the Almighty during these four months, noting that such opportunities may not be as readily available during the rest of the year.

Sadhvi Shriji said that complete surrender at the feet of the Almighty alone enables a person to realise the true purpose of life. While everything in the material world is temporary, she said, the soul is eternal, and the guidance of enlightened spiritual masters helps people understand this timeless truth.

Emphasising the importance of attentive listening, she said merely hearing spiritual discourses is not enough. "Only when we listen with complete concentration do the teachings leave a lasting impact on our lives," she said.

She observed that modern education is often pursued primarily for earning a livelihood, whereas true knowledge is that which removes suffering, restlessness, and confusion from life. Every individual, she said, should strive to attain such wisdom.

Speaking on the importance of the senses, Sadhvi Shriji said the eyes and ears are the most valuable among the five senses. She remarked that many people visit temples but become more occupied with observing others' clothes, vehicles, and material possessions than focusing on the divine.

Questioning society's growing obsession with appearances, she asked whether homes are built for living or merely to impress others. She added that if people devoted as much attention to the well-being of their soul as they do to external appearances, life would become more peaceful and meaningful.

Commenting on modern lifestyles, she said excessive dependence on comforts weakens the body, while listening to the teachings of the Almighty strengthens both the mind and the soul.

Earlier, Sadhvi Pragyanjana Shriji, Sadhvi Namanruchi Shriji, Sadhvi Yogruchi Shriji, and Sadhvi Tanmayruchi Shriji presented the Mangalacharan. A large number of devotees attended the discourse and received spiritual blessings.

A special discourse on the significance of Guru Purnima and the glory of the Guru will be held on Wednesday.
