BJP’s Budget Fills the Pockets of the Rich and Empties Those of the Poor and Minorities: Izhar Hussain

UdaipurThe latest Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on behalf of the BJP-led central government once again makes it clear that the government’s policies are designed to benefit a handful of capitalists and the wealthy, rather than the common people. The budget has proved disappointing for the poor, farmers, youth, middle class, and minority communities alike.

Former National Vice President of NSUI and Joint Secretary of Anjuman Taleemul Islam, Architect Izhar Hussain, strongly criticized the budget, stating that the country is currently facing serious challenges such as inflation, unemployment, and growing economic inequality, yet the budget fails to offer any concrete solutions to these fundamental issues.

He said the government has remained completely silent on the rising prices of petrol, diesel, cooking gas, and essential daily commodities. No concrete or sustainable employment plan has been announced for the youth, nor has any clear roadmap been presented regarding government jobs. According to him, instead of creating real opportunities, the budget merely offers hollow assurances to young people.

Expressing concern over the condition of farmers, Izhar Hussain said there has been no concrete announcement regarding Minimum Support Price (MSP), loan waivers, or measures to reduce the rising cost of farming. Small and marginal farmers, who are already struggling with financial distress, feel cheated by this budget.

He further stated that the budget also fails to introduce any new, concrete, or beneficial schemes for minority communities. The government’s silence on crucial issues such as education, employment, scholarships, and social security clearly exposes the reality behind the BJP’s slogan of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” which, he said, has been reduced to nothing more than a hollow catchphrase with no connection to ground realities.
