Mumbai | Marking the completion of 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the teaser of the film “Shatak: 100 Years of the Sangh” has been officially released. The film chronicles the century-long journey of the RSS, highlighting its ideology, social initiatives, and organizational evolution.
The RSS completed 100 years of its foundation in 2025, a historic milestone that forms the backdrop of the film. Shatak presents the story of an uninterrupted journey that has significantly influenced India’s social and cultural landscape over the past century.
Recently, the film’s song “Bhagwa Hai Apni Pehchaan” was launched at the RSS headquarters, Keshav Kunj in Delhi, by RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat. The patriotic song, rendered by renowned singer Sukhwinder Singh, powerfully captures the spirit and ideological core of the film.

The teaser indicates that the film also addresses long-standing misconceptions and controversies associated with the RSS. Rather than limiting itself to debates, the film seeks to present history, ideology, and organizational growth in a balanced and contextual manner. It offers glimpses into the RSS’s role during the freedom movement, periods of imposed bans, and significant chapters such as the Emergency.
Director Ashish Mall described the project as a deeply personal journey, stating,
“During the research process, I came across several lesser-known aspects of the Sangh that are rarely discussed. Our priority was to present these facts honestly and address prevailing misconceptions in society.”
Producer Veer Kapoor emphasized the film’s strong research foundation, saying,
“The film is based on books, documents, and available historical literature. Among the many movements that emerged between 1875 and 1950, the RSS stands out as the only organization that continued its journey without fragmentation. This continuity is its greatest strength. The film’s tagline, ‘Na Ruke, Na Thake, Na Jhuke’ (Neither Stop, Nor Tire, Nor Bow), reflects this spirit.”
The film is co-produced by Ashish Tiwari and presented by ADA 360 Degree LLP. Conceptualized by Anil D. Agrawal and directed by Ashish Mall, “Shatak: 100 Years of the Sangh” is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on 19 February 2026.
