Jaipur. Shri K.K. Gupta, State Coordinator of Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) and former Chairman of Dungarpur Municipal Council, has been appointed by the state government as the Swachhata Brand Ambassador for Rajasthan for the effective implementation of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban).
On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, a letter in this regard has been issued to all District Collectors of the state, signed by Shri Ravi Jain, Commissioner and Secretary of the Department of Local Self-Government.
Under the new responsibility entrusted by the state government, Shri K.K. Gupta will be responsible for strengthening sanitation awareness campaigns in all districts and urban areas of the state. The letter issued by the Secretary of Local Self-Government instructs all District Collectors to coordinate with administrative officers and employees at the district level and in all local bodies of the state, organize meetings under the chairmanship of Shri K.K. Gupta, and submit a compliance report within seven days to the Department of Local Self-Government regarding the tasks and instructions given by him to achieve the goals of the Swachh Bharat Mission in a time-bound manner. Instructions have also been given to invite mayors, chairpersons, and councilors of local bodies to these meetings and to present the work done under the Dungarpur model. Instructions have also been given to provide Shri Gupta with A-1 category facilities at all state circuit houses during his official visits.
Shri K.K. Gupta is particularly known for his "Dungarpur Model." Under his guidance, Dungarpur district performed remarkably well in sanitation surveys and became the first open defecation-free city in the state. Under his leadership, Dungarpur district achieved remarkable success in sanitation surveys and created a distinct identity not only in the state but also in the country and abroad.
It is noteworthy that Shri K.K. Gupta has previously served as the state government's Swachhata Brand Ambassador twice. Mr. Gupta has been awarded numerous accolades at the state and national levels for his exemplary work and services. He has also been honored by foreign governments and institutions.
Mr. K.K. Gupta expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma for reappointing him as the Sanitation Ambassador of Rajasthan. He said that the dream of a clean Rajasthan will only be realized when every citizen considers it their own campaign. He stated that sanitation is not just about cleanliness, but a crucial issue connected to health, dignity, and development. Gupta said that he will strive to promote positive competition and innovation in every district of the state, in line with the state government's vision.

It is noteworthy that Mr. K.K. Gupta has made the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission), launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his life's main goal since its inception. He is working day and night with full passion and dedication to make this campaign a success. Mr. Gupta also led the sanitation campaign in the village panchayats adjacent to Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat and the parliamentary constituency of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. As a result, these village panchayats received the distinction of being among the best in the country. Mr. Gupta's services have also been utilized by the Ministry of Jal Shakti (Water Resources) of the Government of India. He has been appointed as an amicus curiae (friend of the court) by the honorable courts and entrusted with leading the sanitation movement in the local bodies of the Shekhawati and Mewar regions of Rajasthan. The Jodhpur Urban Development Trust, the urban development authority of Jodhpur, the state's second-largest city, is also implementing his expert services, experience, and suggestions, and has informed the Honorable High Court about this. This is why the state government has once again placed its trust in his experience and efficiency.
