Udaipur-based acclaimed storyteller Prof. Tarana Parveen unveiled her new short story collection, “Aasman Ke Khilaf”, at the World Book Fair 2026 held at Pragati Maidan, Delhi. The collection was launched by the renowned author Mamta Kalia.
Prof. Parveen also participated in a discussion organized around her earlier acclaimed work “Ek Sau Aath”, published by Rajpal & Sons and awarded by the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi. She is recognized as the only female writer from Rajasthan whose story “Raju Shayar” was published in the India Today literary annual.
Known for her experimentation with new themes, innovative language, narrative techniques, and fresh perspectives, Prof. Parveen’s work offers readers a refreshing literary experience. By portraying vivid and authentic depictions of her surroundings rather than relying on conventional feminist tropes, she has carved a distinct identity in contemporary literature.
