Udaipur: The city-based literary organization Lafzon Ki Mehfil organized its monthly poetry gathering for June on the occasion of Father’s Day at Madhushree Banquet Hall, Ashoka Palace, Udaipur. The event was held in an atmosphere of literary elegance and emotional warmth, bringing together renowned poets, shayars, and literature enthusiasts from the city.
Participants enthusiastically presented their original compositions centered on the theme of “Father,” expressing deep emotions through poetry, ghazals, songs, couplets, and other literary forms.
Founder-President Mukesh Madhavani stated that the presentations touched the hearts of the audience, as writers beautifully portrayed a father’s love, sacrifice, struggles, guidance, and invaluable contribution to life through powerful and moving words.
Special Digital Magazine on “Father” Released
A major highlight of the event was the release of a special digital magazine dedicated to the theme of “Father.” The publication features poems, ghazals, articles, and literary works by writers from across the country, all conveying respect, gratitude, and affection towards fathers.
Veteran Shayar Shakeel Alauddin Honoured
According to the organization’s Secretary and noted shayar Shad Udaipuri, another significant attraction of the programme was the felicitation of senior poet and shayar Shakeel Alauddin. In recognition of his remarkable contribution to literature and Urdu poetry, the organization honoured him during the event. The gathering warmly applauded and celebrated his achievements.
Speaking on the occasion, organizers emphasized that:

The poetry gathering featured impressive recitations by Dr. Iqbal Sagar, Asma Begum, Shahid Hussain Shaida, Ishaq Furqat, Dr. Naresh Chandra Sharma, Prof. Nirmal Garg, Vijay Kumar ‘Nakaam’, Vinod Upadhyay, Manohar Dembla, Shakeel Alauddin, Upendra Kumar Bhatt, Parwana Ajmeri, Shad Udaipuri, Riaz Ahmed Qureshi, Sabira Rani, Oman, and several other literary contributors.
