Capacity-Building Training Program for Residential School Wardens Organized

Udaipur: The Mānikya Lal Verma Tribal Research & Training Institute (T.R.I.), Udaipur, is organizing a six-day capacity-building training program for wardens of residential schools (Ashram Chhatravas) functioning under the Tribal Regional Development Department. The training, conducted under the “Support to T.R.I.” scheme of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, will be held from February 6 to February 10.
T.R.I. Director O.P. Jain stated that the program aims to equip residential school wardens with the administrative, academic, and managerial knowledge required for the effective discharge of their responsibilities. The training will cover topics such as warden duties, daily routines, formation of key committees, record maintenance, girl child protection and provisions under the POCSO Act, maintenance of hostel stores and campus hygiene, student counseling, procurement of hostel materials, DBT procedures, operation of the H.S.M.S. portal, and student data entry and updation processes.
The inaugural session on the first day was attended by Krishanpal Singh, Additional Commissioner I, Tribal Regional Development Department, Udaipur; Harshvardhan Singh Solanki, Lecturer, T.R.I.; and Anurag Medatwal, Additional District Education Officer & Deputy Commissioner, T.A.D. Office, Udaipur. A total of 24 hostel wardens from residential schools in the Salumber district participated in the training program.
