Udaipur: A 15-member delegation from the National Defence College (NDC) arrived in Udaipur on Friday for a two-day study visit. During the visit, the delegation held a courtesy meeting with District Collector Namit Mehta and Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal at the mini auditorium of the District Collectorate and engaged in detailed discussions on contemporary issues.
The delegation focused on internal security measures, development in tribal areas, availability of basic amenities, and creating new employment opportunities for tribal communities through tourism activities. The district administration presented the geographical, social, and administrative features of Udaipur, along with insights into development programs in tribal regions and security arrangements.
District Collector Namit Mehta briefed the delegation on various innovations in tribal development, education, health, infrastructure, and tourism promotion. Meanwhile, SP Yogesh Goyal shared strategies adopted for law and order, community policing, and internal security. Also present were officials including ADM Deependra Singh, ADM City Jitendra Ojha, and Assistant Director & Nodal Officer of the Agriculture Department Devendra Pratap Singh Rathore.
The NDC delegation comprises senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces along with representatives from countries such as Greece, Australia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Oman. Prior to Udaipur, the delegation had undertaken study visits to Jaipur and Ajmer and will continue to observe regional administrative arrangements at various locations in the district.
