Kabaddi and Tug-of-War Competitions Held at Government College Hindumalkot

Sriganganagar: At Government College Hindumalkot, students displayed double the enthusiasm as they balanced preparations for semester exams with participation in sports competitions. The college sports ground hosted successful athletic and team sports events, where students actively took part with great zeal.

The competitions included tug-of-war, kabaddi, other team games, and athletic events. Students from various classes showcased excellent speed, endurance, teamwork, and physical skills. The team games, particularly tug-of-war and kabaddi, drew significant attention from the audience. The energy and encouragement from both students and spectators continuously boosted the players’ morale, creating an environment full of sportsmanship throughout the campus.

In the boys’ kabaddi category, the team of Anmol, Subhash, Gaurav, and Lakhvinder emerged victorious. In the girls’ category, the team comprising Pinky, Mahakdeep, Guransh, Rekha, and Nishu secured first place.

In tug-of-war, the team of Mahak, Harsh, Raman, Lakshmi, Jaspreet, Pooja, Gurvinder, and Bindu won first place in the girls’ category, while in the boys’ category, the team of Guru Sahib, Anil, Vikram, Gaurav, and Vishal took the top position.

The Acting Principal of the college, Dr. Jyoti Sareen, encouraged the students for their enthusiasm and appealed to local philanthropists to support talents from rural areas. Dr. Hanuman Prasad, Arya, and History lecturer Mamta Gaba assisted in organizing and supervising the sports competitions.
