Sriganganagar: A 10-day free Ksharsutra treatment camp for piles (Arsh/Bhagandar) was successfully concluded on Friday at the Sanatan Dharm Mandir, L Block Hanuman Mandir, organized by the Ayurveda Department Rajasthan under the National AYUSH Mission with support from the district administration.
At the closing ceremony, Dr. Radheshyam, Regional Additional Director of the Ayurveda Department, gathered feedback from patients and expressed satisfaction with the camp’s arrangements. In his address, he highlighted that Ayurveda, India’s ancient medical science, has provided holistic health for centuries. He emphasized that Ayurveda not only treats diseases but also guides individuals and society on maintaining health through proper routines, seasonal practices, and dietary habits.
Specialist surgeons Dr. Pankaj Potliya and Dr. Harveer Singh Sangwa counseled patients on proper dietary practices and lifestyle adjustments. They also educated healthy attendees on preventive measures to avoid the onset of such diseases. Dr. Rajkumar Parik, camp in-charge, reported that a total of 98 patients suffering from piles, fistula, and fissures received Ksharsutra surgical treatment, while 2,147 patients benefited from OPD consultations and Ayurvedic medicines.
Deputy Director Dr. Krishan Chandra expressed gratitude to the attending guests and appreciated the staff for their dedication. He noted that the camp strictly adhered to the guidelines of the National AYUSH Mission and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, ensuring comprehensive facilities and patient care.
During the event, the retired Panchakarma specialist Dr. Om Parik’s book on Panchakarma therapy was released, and copies were distributed to the attending doctors and nurse compounders. Philanthropist Mr. Deepak Goyal, proprietor of KBS Herbal, provided financial assistance for medicines and other camp operations. He was honored with a memento by Dr. Radheshyam.
The closing program was presided over by Regional Additional Director Dr. Radheshyam, with Assistant Director Dr. Jitendra Singh Bhati as the special guest. The event marked a successful conclusion to a camp that significantly benefited the local community through traditional Ayurvedic treatment and healthcare guidance.
