Kota: Om Prakash Mehra, Commissioner of Kota Municipal Corporation, stated that in the ongoing efforts to remove illegal encroachments, a large-scale operation was conducted on Friday.
Under the leadership of IPS officer Trainee Siddharth Srivastava, encroachments were cleared from Keshavpura Chowk to Santoshi Nagar Chowk. During the operation, boards, stalls, ramps, and other structures set up by shopkeepers on the road and footpaths were removed. Vendors outside the vegetable market at Santoshi Nagar Chowk, who had installed carts and stalls encroaching on public space, were also cleared.
The operation was supported by officers from Mahaveer Nagar Police Station, along with encroachment officers Tosif Khan and Hanuman Ram, and team leaders Sanjeev Kumar, Narendra Shakyawal, and Mukesh Tawar from the Municipal Corporation’s encroachment department.
The municipal authorities stated that such encroachment removal operations will continue in the city.
