Jamnagar to emerge as a global hub for Clean Energy and AI

Rajkot, At the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced a massive expansion of the group’s investments in Gujarat. Speaking at the inauguration of the Trade Exhibition by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Rajkot, Ambani said that Reliance has invested ₹3.5 lakh crore in the state over the past five years and plans to double this investment to ₹7 lakh crore over the next five years.

Mukesh Ambani stated that Reliance is already the largest investor in Gujarat, and the proposed investments will generate large-scale employment, livelihoods, and prosperity. Praising Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, he said India today is moving forward on the global stage with renewed confidence and strength.

Highlighting Reliance’s clean energy vision, Ambani revealed that Jamnagar is being developed into the world’s largest integrated clean energy ecosystem, encompassing solar power, energy storage, green hydrogen, green fertilizers, sustainable aviation fuel, and maritime fuels. He noted that Jamnagar—once India’s largest hydrocarbon export hub—will soon become the country’s biggest exporter of green energy and green materials.

In addition, Jamnagar will host India’s largest AI-ready data center. Through Jio, Reliance aims to deliver “affordable AI for every Indian,” enabling people to access AI services in their own language and on their preferred devices.

Reaffirming Reliance’s commitment to Kutch, Ambani said the region is being developed as a global clean energy hub, with a multi-gigawatt solar project supported by advanced storage solutions and a modern grid to ensure round-the-clock supply of clean power.

Supporting the Prime Minister’s vision of bringing the 2036 Olympic Games to India, Reliance Foundation will partner with the Gujarat government to operate the Veer Savarkar Multi-Sports Complex at Naranpura, Ahmedabad. Mukesh Ambani also announced the expansion of a world-class hospital and school in Jamnagar, further strengthening social infrastructure in the region.

This ambitious roadmap reinforces Gujarat’s position as a global leader in investment, innovation, clean energy, and digital transformation.
