Udaipur: Mukesh Madhavani, Founder President of *Surón Ki Mandali*, informed that the City of Lakes witnessed a unique confluence of melody, rhythm, and harmony that kept music lovers enthralled despite the biting cold.
The music-dedicated organization *Surón Ki Mandali* organized the **“SKM Swar Kokila & Swar Samrat 2026”** competition on **Saturday, January 10**, at the **Madhushree Banquet Hall, Ashoka Palace, 100 Feet Road, Shobhagpura**. The event concluded late at night, leaving behind a trail of soulful musical memories.
This marathon musical extravaganza lasted for nearly **550 minutes**, during which a continuous flow of melodious performances kept the audience glued to their seats from **3:00 PM until 12:30 AM**.
The program formally began with a devotional invocation to **Goddess Saraswati** by **Amrita Bokadia**, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the jury members.
Mukesh Madhavani stated that about **55 participants** showcased their singing talent in this grand first event of the New Year. One of the most delightful and memorable moments occurred during the token process, when the first performance was delivered by a “father-in-law,” while the final performance of the evening was presented by his “daughter-in-law.” The coincidence became even more special when the daughter-in-law, **Dr. Harsha Nebhnani**, was crowned **“Swar Kokila 2026”** for her outstanding performance.
Amidst intense competition, the judges carefully evaluated the talent. In the **women’s category**, **Dr. Harsha Nebhnani** emerged as the winner, **Inu Rawal** secured the runner-up position, and young singer **Aradhya Vaishnav** finished third. In the **men’s category**, **Kamlesh Kumawat** won the title of **“Swar Samrat,”** while **Gaurav Swarnakar** and **Gopal Gothwal** secured the second and third positions respectively.
For impartial judgment, **Rajkumar Nebhnani** and **Jhoomar Chakravarti** from Udaipur, along with **Vijay Malkani** from Chittorgarh, rendered their services as judges free of charge. A unique feature of the event was that, in the final round, not only expert judges but also members of the audience were included in the judging process.
Coordinator **Ramesh Datwani** and Secretary **Arun Choubisa** shared that a Bollywood quiz was also organized intermittently for the audience, with prizes awarded for correct answers. The successful execution of the event was made possible through the dedicated support of **Amrita Bokadia, Laxmi Aswani, Chetna Jain, Ishwar Jain “Kaustubh,” Mahavir Jain, Rajkumar Bafna**, and the entire team.
The winners were felicitated with **mementos and traditional scarves (Uparna)** in recognition of their achievements.
