Teacher and Writer Dr. Sushila Joshi Honoured with the Honorary Title “Bal Sahitya Bhushan”

Kota: Under the auspices of Sahitya Mandal Shrinath, a leading literary, cultural, and educational institution of Rajasthan, the *Bhagwati Prasad Devpura Memorial and National Children’s Literature Festival–26* was organized in grand sessions on 5th, 6th, and 7th January.

Addressing the gathering, former Minister of State of the Uttar Pradesh Government, Shri Ravikant, expressed that in today’s times it is extremely important to understand Hindi language as it reflects our culture and surroundings. He emphasized that if our language survives, our culture will also survive; otherwise, we may deviate from our goals.

On 7th January, in the august presence of eminent literary figures from across India, Kota-based teacher and writer **Dr. Sushila Joshi** was conferred with the honorary title **“Bal Sahitya Bhushan”**. She was felicitated with a citation, shawl, garland, traditional Mewari turban, coconut, and an image of Shrinathji. She was also awarded a cash prize of ₹1100. This honour was bestowed upon her for her children’s poetry collection **“Bhor Ke Taare” (Stars of the Dawn)**.

The programme commenced with a Saraswati Vandana. On the same day, during the children’s literature paper-reading session, Shri Narendra Nirmal from Bharatpur presented a paper on children’s stories in the context of Sanskrit, while Mrs. Richa Agrawal from Mathura spoke on moral values in children’s stories, among other significant topics.

The programme concluded with a prayer dedicated to the national language, Hindi. The event was conducted by Shri Prakash Devpura, Prime Facilitator of Sahitya Mandal Shrinath.
